Rickenbacker Guitars

      rickenbacker 1967 OS,original #GF 4735.this guitar came in a state of many changes,and underwent a complete restoration by dale fortune,former rickenbacker  factory craftsman in the 60s/70s.dale is regarded as the best in all things rickenbacker and this guitar is proof of this-having gone from heavily modified and in disrepair to being a stunning looking guitar with vintage aura as well as being as good playing and sounding rickenbacker as i've held.the work is chronicled through the website beatgearcavern to see some of the process.       this began life as a 360 OS (with binding)-certainly fireglo,later refinished mapleglo.the refinish was done long as ago,has weathered with an amber tint not quite captured in the pics.only the slightest tint at the heel even suggests this--even close up it looks original with NO funny spots or binding problems. somewhere along the way,there were routes at the pickups,and an unexplained hole,near the rhythm pickup.smaller holes were made for a different guard and different tuners.these were professionally filled .further changes required  mr. fortune to install a new fingerboard and refret.the work is better than what you would see on modern ricks,sourcing a nice reddish fingerboard and full length crushed pearl inlays. from a FOOT AWAY,the guitar looks 100%,again a testament to what can be done by a master.
          as the guitar was a shell,new parts were found,installed with an early 60s style-gold guards,tv knobs,and no fifth knob.the age of pickups is uncertain--they look a bit too clean to be original,so consider them not--but they sound strong and period spec.the setup is impeccable-arrow straight neck,great neck angle with plenty of bridge left,spot on intonation,LOW,LOW ACTION--ready to tour or record.          so--not a glass case rick,but holds it's own in cool factor---not $10,000--priced like a reissue-that's not even made anymore.ask any questions.                                           shipped in vintage reissue case in NM shape   $50 usa $200 world shipping,sorry no shipping to australia due to size limits                                                                              GREAT GUITAR at a GREAT DEAL !
