Rickenbacker Guitars

This auction is for a 1967 Rickenbacker solid body electric guitar.  To the best of my knowledge it is a model 450 with two "Toaster Top" type pickups and a "Cresting Wave" body shape.   The model 420 was a single pickup version of this guitar. This 450 is the two pickup version.   The "Cresting Wave" body shape replaced the "Tulip"  style shape used in prior versions of this rare Rickenbacker.   It is a full scale length guitar ... not a short scale.  

Guitar is all original with the exception of the tuners which were just replaced with new, era correct Kluson Deluxe tuners.   One of the original Kluson tuners has a broken shaft.  The original tuners are included with the guitar. Pots have been checked and dated to 1967.   Both pickups and controls work perfectly. Serial number on bridge starts with "GI", indicating a 1967 build.

This guitar has been very well maintained and is in excellent  condition based on the criteria set forth in the Vintage Guitar Pricing Guide (2011).  It has a few minor  dings and blemishes and a small wear area of the finish on one side (edge).  None of these imperfections are major, but are disclosed to ensure that bidders  understand that this is not a "mint" guitar.   Fret wear is minimal.

Shipped in original Rickenbacker hardshell case which has a bit more wear on it than the guitar.
