RICKENBACKER
4001
VINTAGE BASS
built in 1977!
Presented for your consideration, this VINTAGE
1977 Rickenbacker 4001 in Azure!
You’re looking at a piece of high
quality American craftsmanship, the Rickenbacker 4001!
. What really stands out about
this beast is its still amazing sound. The single coil pick-ups shine
through the mix brilliantly, delivering intense lows and punchy highs, a
trademark characteristic of Rickenbacker basses. Dialing in your sound is
easy on this Ric with individual buzz free volume and tone knobs and a 3-way
pick-up selector. This axe also features the world famous Ric-O-Sound
mono/stereo outputs for amp expandability. The straight neck-thru neck is
comfortable and nearly blemish free except for a few chips on the back that
won't slow you down.
This Ric has seen almost THIRTY FIVE
YEARS of history and has maintained it’s quality throughout. This 4001 is
a true testament to the high quality instruments that Rickenbacker
produces. This vintage bass does has some signs of use but these types of
cosmetic imperfections are rather common on a near 35-year-old bass. The
wounds are merely a sign of a loved and awesome sounding axe and not
mistreatment. Most of the blemishes are nothing more than a tiny nick
here and there and this is still a BEAUTIFUL bass as the pics will show.
The frets are in outstanding shape! The
hard shell case isn’t original but is in fantastic shape and is included with
the bass. Whatever your musical taste may be, this bass is sure to grab
attention with its stylish good looks and monstrous tone. Don't miss your
chance to rock this baby.
Rickenbacker guitars and basses have
been the choice of musical legends for generations. Spanning the 60’s and 70’s
with great bands like the Who, Deep Purple, Yes, Thin Lizzy, the Kinks and
Black Sabbath, then moving into the 80’s, 90’s and today with the Sex Pistols,
Motorhead, Metallica, Modest Mouse, Ween, Wolfmother, Dinosaur Jr, the Misfits
and Queens of the Stone Age. This is a well playing and eye catching bass that
is sure to draw attention in no time. So don’t miss out on this unique
opportunity!
The following features attribute to
the classic and warm sound of this stunning instrument:
- Maple body
- 20 Frets
- Maple neck
- Rosewood
fingerboard - Original
rick pickups - Inlays
pearloid triangles - Ric -O-
sound output - Hard shell
case - Serial #QL
