First let me say that I've owned over 40
Rickenbacker basses over the years.

THIS ONE IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST PLAYER OF ANY AND ALL OF THE RICKENBACKER BASSES I'VE EVER OWNED.

And I'm NOT alone in that opinion.
I'm a member of the Rickenbacker Forum
aka RRF and a number of the senior members have
played this bass.
They all agree, this is the most amazing Rickenbacker they've ever played.

The action is DEAD LOW..look at the pictures, those strings are tuned up to pitch at A440! 

It is strung with a set of Thomastic Flats and has the most PERFECT Paul McCartney aka "Macca" tone you can ever hope for.

The bass is so thin and light, you can feel each note resonate through the body.
Doesn't hurt that it's a looker too!

Appraisal's ran the gambit from $4500.00 on the ROCK BOTTOM LOW SIDE....to $7500.00 on the high side.
My starting price is on the low side with a BIN
RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE.

Electronics, tuners, pickups, wiring, pickguard, Truss Rod Cover..all original to the bass....The Chrome Bridge Pickup Cover
(the LOW CLEARANCE KIND) is from another
1971 RIC, and it took me YEARS to find.

Finish is all original!
My camera is an old 3 megapixel and after resizing and uploading to Photobucket, some detail was comprimised, especially by the binding.
I assure you, finish is all original.

I am the THRID OWNER of this bass.

My luthier went over this bass from top to bottom.
It was cleaned and is in
PERFECT PLAYING CONDITION
with one minor exception.
....ONE FRET....the 12th on the "G" needs to be replaced. I just priced it out and for $120.00, to make it perfect, but I'll leave that to the new owner.
FRETS are ORIGINAL...and have plenty of life in them...Weird how this one fret is worn, which is how I got it years ago.
SO, I'll throw in FREE SHIPPING if you hit the BIN to cover your cost.

Neck is DEAD FLAT & SOLID.
Minor 1/2" fingerboard lift was repaired professionally years ago and is flawless.
My luthier said the glue just dried up and began to seperate.
