This is a Rickenbacker 4001 Bass Guitar. This awesome bass is in Good condition. It appears to be a '72 according to the pot codes. The body has some obvious chips and wear in the finish with the bare wood exposed (no chips in the actual wood though). A number of small dings and dents can be easily seen on the front, back, and sides of the body. Some surface scratches can be seen on the front, back, and sides of the body-mainly as a fair amount of buckle rash on the back. The pickguard, hand rest and bridge show some very light scratches on them--some of the chrome plating has chipped off the bridge. The back of the neck shows very similar wear as that on the body with a bit more obvious wear in the finish with the bare wood exposed. Small dings, dents, and light scratches can be seen on the front, back, and sides of the headstock, some of these are actually through the finish and into the wood; the fretboard also has some small chips in the finish as well as a few small scuffs and scratches. The frets show heavy wear and fairly deep grooves in them, but still play well and don't fret out. Hard-shell case is included. This bass features a bound maple top, white pickguard, 20-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with triangle inlay, cresting wave peghead, 2-per-side tuners, 2 volume/2 tone controls, and a 3-position switch. Overall this is a very good-looking bass guitar with some real character. This vintage 4001 is dripping with vibe and mojo. Don't miss out on this one!
