RICKENBACKER 4003 BASS, MAPLEGLO, with RIC Hard Shell Case. I bought this bass brand-new in September, 2010. It's lighter-weight than any of the newer RIC'S I've owned, the neck is slimmer front to back, and it plays and sounds fantastic. It has the factory-installed vintage tone pot that lets the bass go from McCartney-smooth to Squire/Geddy twang. I have owned many RIC basses, including the Blue Boy, Blue Burst, and Amber Fireglo, which were the last three colors of the year, and this one feels better than all of them. I would love to keep it but I have to sell it to help my family. I have used it sparingly and treated it with love and kindness. I put flat wound strings on as soon as I got it and it lives in the case when not played so the wear and tear is virtually non-existent.
