This is, as far as I can tell, an 80's Rickenbacker. I think I am the second owner.The guitar plays beautifully and sounds great, too. The frets have very little wear, especially considering the age of the guitar and I just had the guitar set up by a pro tech. Elixir 10 gauge strings were installed, the double truss rods adjusted, pickup height adjuster, fretboard conditions, and electronics cleaned out (they were a little dusty). As you may know, the guitar has 2 input jacks - a regular mono jack and a stereo or "Rick-O-Sound" jack. The mono jack is a little scratchy and probably needs to be replaced. Also, there are a couple of dings on the guitar, one on the back and two on the side of the guitar, as pictured. Aside from that, the guitar is in excellent shape, with no other issues that I am aware of.
The neck-through body had incredible sustain. The guitar is pretty small and light, so very comfortable to play standing up. I've used it mostly to record and the dings predate me. The only reason I'm selling it is that I don't play it out much since the neck is a little too thick for me (though thinner than current Ricks) and I have too many guitars for this one to just sit there and collect dust.
The hard shell case is included. It's not in perfect condition, but works just fine, and really, considering its age it looks and works great, if a little scuffed up.
