***Rickenbacker 75th Anniversary Model 660***

We're offering this rare 2007 Rickenbacker 75th Anniversary Model 660 electric guitar in the beautiful Dark Cherry Metallic finish, unique to the 75th Anniversary models. Included are the original hardshell case and "case candy", including the manual, case keys, allen wrenches, hang tag, and cool Rickenbacker poster. Please check out all the pictures below. This instrument has some surface play wear, most of which could possibly be buffed out, and some wear marks at the sides of the headstock where it hung on a guitar hanger(again, please see the pics). The DCM color is gorgeous and "Dark", even looking black from several feet away at different angles.

From the original announcement of the 75th Anniversary models by Rickenbacker: "Rickenbacker International Corporation is pleased to announce four limited edition guitars to commemorate the 75th anniversary of both our company and the electric guitar itself. These instruments will feature a special finish (Dark Cherry Metallic), a gold pickguard with a unique 75th anniversary logo, and a matching gold nameplate. Featured in this limited run of 75 guitars per model will be the Model 330, 360, 660 and 4003. Orders for these instruments were taken beginning at 8:00 AM Pacific Time on September 1, 2006 and SOLD OUT by noon. 60 units of each type were available for sale in North America, the remainder were allocated for export."

The Rick website says: "The Model 660 features a Maple cutaway body based on an innovative design from the 1950's. A Rosewood fingerboard is punctuated beautifully with triangular pearloid inlay markers, while the maple double bound neck and body are solid through and through. Rickenbacker's trademark "checkered" black and white binding set off the body, while white binding graces the neck. The 660 is electronically engineered to the exacting standards of the vintage reissue series, complete with Rickenbacker's own vintage reissue-type pickups." Here are the specs: 21 Frets, 24 3/4" Scale Length, 1 3/4" Nut Width, 10" Radius, Maple Neck and Body, Rosewood Fingerboard, Neck Binding, Triangle Fret Markers, Trapeze Tailpiece, 6 Saddle Bridge, Neck-Thru Construction, 2 Vintage Reissue "Toaster top" Pickups, and Vintage-type Tuning Machines.

Some folks are asking over $4,000.00 for this model in mint condition, but this very good condition, rare 660 75th Anniversary(again, 1 0f only 60 sold in North America) is priced not much more than you'd pay for a new run-of-the-mill 660. Please call or e-mail before bidding if you have any questions. Thanks for looking and good luck!
